The forties end with another bland issue. Batman, Superman, Green Arrow and Zatara are all that's left of the many main attractions we started with just a few years earlier. The Wyoming Kid has taken up residence and we're still getting filler like Full Steam Foley. The coolest thing about this ish is the PSA teaming Green Arrow with the Red Feather Kid!
What's the explanation behind that "He Got What He Wanted" panel? An ad, heading, or what? It looks considerably more modern than 1949.
ReplyDeleteMy fault. Normally I skip the text stories as, like most comics text stories, they're virtually unreadable. This was the title illustration for this issue's text story. I should have mentioned that. :)
