Overall, 1953 was not DC's biggest year. According to this ad, the company's biggest assets were Superman, Batman, Bob Hope, Dean and Jerry and Mutt and Jeff.
Still burning off DANGER TRAIL stories, here we get some gorgeous Alex Toth work. The artist had started at DC nearly a decade earlier and had very quickly developed a unique and modern style that just kept developing in the years to come.
