World's Finest # 167, June, 1967

This ish we get yet another imaginary story and it's another good one, notable also as the first script from young Cary Bates who would go on to a distinguished career at DC. More great work from the Swan/Klein team as well.

This is hardly the first time that Jack Kirby appeared in WF but considering that by this point he was the biggest name in the industry it's a tad surprising that his name wasn't even mentioned in this reprint!

  1. Maybe they didn't want to mention Kirby by name because he was so firmly entrenched in the Marvel comics of that period, DC's editors may have felt that they were advertising for the competition.
