World's Finest # 171, November, 1967

The Swan/Klein work is still pretty but veteran Leo Dorfman disappoints with his story after a number of original and enjoyable tales. As we move into 1968, DC will, in my opinion, slowly jump the shark after several years where nearly everything was fun and well done comics.

DC tried hard to revive The Spectre with multiple tries and finally did, here, give the character his own book for the first time ever. It still didn't take.

TEEN BEAT was a bizarre, fish-nor-fowl teen mag made like a comic book. The already existing TIGER BEAT is said to have complained so the second and final issue quickly became TEEN BEAM!

DC was having a good TV year!
