World's Finest # 264, September, 1980

Clayface? Now there's someone we haven't seen in a while. The cover above may look as though it reads simply "Giordano" but I guarantee you that's Roos Andru pencils.

What th...? Bob Haney!!?? Who let HIM back in!

The New Teen Titans were sort of DC's version of marvel's mega-successful New X-Men and they were also pretty much the best thing DC had going for it for the next decade or so. Yes, the series, by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, was THAT food and they sustained it for quiet a long while!

HAWKMAN here is drawn by Ken Landgraf, one of my Internet friends in recent years.

It didn't get as much publicity as the first Superman/Spider-Man team-up but it's actually a better story with particularly good artwork whereas the initial one was simply treated as a spectacular stunt.

Before he was retconned as a vicious rapist, Dr. Light was quite fun as the Rodney Dangerfield of DC villains, getting no respect from any members of the JLA,
