Another brilliant, almost generic cover, this one highlighting the fact that this Moench tale, in spite of its sci-fi trappings, is written more as a gritty Batman story than a Superman story or a traditional team-up. Interesting to note the return of the long-gone "Robin's off with the Teen Titans" bit.
DC was starting to experiment with different paper and different printing, different methods of distribution and different...well...everything. Credit Jeanette Kahn for being open to it but credit Dick Giordano for much of the true innovation.
