World's Finest # 41, July/August, 1949

Such a good issue this time out I wish I could just post the whole thing. The stories are good, the art is well-done throughout and even the ads are entertaining!

I always enjoy GA ging up against a costumed baddie and here's a particularly wacky one so let's go through the whole thing, shall we? George Papp, as usually, with the winning but unpretentious artwork.

By this point, SAM SPADE was, as noted in the ad, better known for his popular radio show starring Howard Duff than for THE MALTESE FALCON.

Carmine Infantino brought a very different look to BOY COMMANDOS!

More Kubert!

And finally, a creepy Bat-splash!
